Linda's Message
Happy New Year to all of you. I hope you had a joy filled holiday season and I am wishing you a wonderful new year.
This holiday season has been challenging for me and my family. My mother has been terminally ill with emphysema for several years, but after several weeks of struggling with pneumonia her journey with us has now come to an end. I sit with tears in my eyes and a broken heart as I tell you that my mother died January 2nd, 2012. I have closed my office for approximately a month to work with my grief and take care of her affairs.
I would greatly appreciate your prayers. I am painfully reminded that it is so much easier for me to hold and comfort those grieving than to be the one going through the process of grief. Although surrounded by so many loving supportive friends and family it feels like a lonely place that tears flow freely in. I am sure that many of you understand this, but I find myself surprised and judgmental of myself as I feel that I should be stronger than this, but I am not and that is just the way it is. I thank God for my angels, as they are continually holding me and reminding me that I am still human and it is all about love.
Although I have worked with loss and grief for so many years, sitting with my arms around others while our tears flowed for their loss is definitely easier for me. We all want to believe, hope and pray that we will not have to experience the loss of a loved one or someone we care about, but life has taught us that loss is a an inevitable part of our journey. No matter how much time we are given, we are seldom prepared for the death of a loved one or the emotions we will experience or how our life will change. Thankfully, my Mom was ready for the journey, as I had shared with her what I had been taught and her body could no longer provide her a quality of life.
As painful as it has been for our family, I feel privileged to have been a part of her journey. Hospice has been a God send for us and I can not thank them enough for their knowledge, support and care.
Abraham had to remind me to re-read our book "Reaching Through the Veil to Heal" for my own comfort and answers and once again it has helped. I am now on my third reading in one week but every word has comforted me. I also felt so very comforted by my loved ones in spirit, as they all gathered around to carry her home and for their celebration of my Mom's return home.
My mother came to me the next day after her death to thank me and share her love and the wonder of her experience. It was a tearful exchange but one of great comfort. I expect the grieving process of this loss to continue for the rest of my life, as I remember this to be typical for the loss of the second parent as both losses become as one. I cried so hard when I read this in our book as I knew it to be true, yet I trust with love I will survive. I know those of you that have lost parents will understand.
Some of you may remember that my father died about 3 years ago and I learned so much from that loss as I am sure I will from this loss. Abraham never misses an opportunity to teach me about life through every experience I have. They teach me things not just for my life but knowledge I can share with others. I am grateful for that also.
Abraham started writing their this newsletter in early Dec. but I was unable to finish and send it out due to our situation. I did not realize the significance of what they were writing and how it would affect my life. I can be a bit dense at times. But I am pleased to share it with you now and hopefully it will touch your life as a reminder in your relationships.
If you feel inclined, I would appreciate your prayers as I know how powerful they are and I thank you in advance. I hope Abraham's message this month is as helpful to you as it has been for me. We had the unique opportunity to send time with my Mom almost every day when we were in town and I now treasure those moments.
Good Friends are like Angels: you don't have to see them to know they are there....

I am Abraham
We greet you with love,
The human experience is all about love. Life gravitates around your relationships. From birth you each begin seeking love and acceptance in some way from family, friends, partners and significant others. The significant people in your life were chosen by your spirit especially for your journey.
Have gratitude for the significant people in your life. Whether their love is supportive or challenging to your life, they are each of great importance to you. With both family and friends, your exchange of love and energy has contributed to who you are today.
Many times life becomes busy and you forget to take the time to acknowledge the ones you love the most. You may not necessarily take them for granted, but you may take your available time to spend with them for granted. You may forget that they could be gone from your life with little or no warning. God does not intent for any of you to know the date and time of your journeys end, as there is no purpose in worrying about your time of death but to live the life you have chosen to the fullest. Only God and your spirit have awareness of this time and they are continually supporting every aspect of your journey, as they will at the time of your death.
You are each meant to live in the moments of life that you have been given. How you chose to live your life is your choice. We often see the greatest pain between those that have not resolved painful situations or those that have failed to speak of their feelings of love, when death occurs and the opportunity seems to be over.
Having the opportunity to share love, forgiveness and joy in your relationships is a gift of time. Although the exchange of love and appreciation within relationships is expressed differently for everyone, both actions and words are very powerful. Expressing your thoughts and emotions through words may not come easy or you may just forget how important those words are between each other. Words of love, support or forgiveness are often needed in relationships with those you love the most. There are no guarantees from moment to moment for physical life in the human journey, so consequently there is no time to waste in reaching out to those you care about.
No matter how some people may wish to be perceived, everyone needs to hear that they are loved and cared about, as this provides them support for the difficult life experiences often encountered.
We realize that it may be difficult for you to fully understand the purpose of your journey at times, especially during the most challenging times. This is why we have been sent to you by God, to support your knowledge, your awareness and your soul's evolution. Just know that at all times you are part of a "grand plan" that is supported by God and your spirit. This is a plan for your journey that you designed before coming into this life. Your entire life has included relationships of love and with the opportunity to have love there comes loss.
With every life experience there is an opportunity to learn and grow, as that is your purpose in each life time. Taking responsibility for the awareness of your needs and the needs of others is the most important part of being in a relationship. Allow others to know their importance in your life. As you may remember, there are times that something as simple as a hug or quietly whispered words of love can provide a healing or comfort beyond any medication in healing the heart.
We observe that a beneficial habit to establish is: with each parting of time shared with a significant person in your life make sure you have expressed your feelings of gratitude, love or support, as this may be your last time shared with them. We recommend you be joyfully sharing words or actions of love in all situations, as what is given out, is returned in some way and you all need love and support for your life journey.
As many who have unexpectedly lost a love one will tell you, no matter what the age or health this could be your last opportunity to physically share your hugs or words of love. Value each moment not with fear of loss, but with genuine expression of love.
You are each created in the image of God, with all his love and compassion. God knows your love and your pain and he is there to hold you close to his heart in your time of need.
We leave you with sympathy and compassion for all of the pain and losses of your life.

Who is Abraham:
Every month I have new readers join our newsletter list. I was reminded that not everyone is familiar with the Abraham Group that I work with. I apologize for neglecting to share this important information with you.
Abraham is a group consciousness of high vibrational spiritual beings. That is a long title for a group of beings that work for God. Their purpose is to bring humanity the wisdom and guidance of God for the advancement of our soul's journey. They do not function with ego but much of their work is done though human channels. They have chosen multiple people to work through in delivering their messages. Although Abraham works with many channels, their most well known channel is Esther Hicks. She has been channeling their messages and writing books with them for over 30 years.
Their messages can be both individual or global depending on the situation. Each channel gives the same message yet often in a slightly different way due to our personality. You each receive knowledge differently, and often need to hear it multiple time before applying to to your life. The Abraham group focus on positive intent and empowerment for our lives.
Spirit presented this group to me as my teachers about 11 years ago when my awareness of my spiritual journey began. During this time, they have continually assisted me with my own spiritual development, as well as our work in helping others heal their lives. They have channeled their guidance through the books we have written and the workshops we teach.
