Linda's Message
Welcome to Fall. What a beautiful time of change and transition that we are in. It is always exciting to me to see the weather starting to become cooler and the air crisper, with the holidays quickly approaching. As the summer ends the kids are back in school and many of you sports fans are back in your viewing seats ready to cheer on your favorite teams again. In many areas of the country the foliage has already changed from the lush greens of summer to display their spectacular colors of reds and gold. That always puts a smile on my face to see such beauty in the world. I love to lay in the fallen leaves and look up with wonder at the mixture of colors of sky and leaves. All of these things require a change of seasons and situations to bring us these feelings of anticipation, excitement and joy.
We look forward to these times of change, yet when we think about other things in our life changing many of us panic. God gives us the opportunity to create change and to experience change as this gives us the hope and encouragement that things that are challenging our lives or no longer working for us can change to get better. This is a reminder that you are powerful enough to create the change that you desire.
Change requires an energetic shift of action and thoughts. God has given you the ability to create both of these things. These energetic shifts are not always created by you but you are left to respond to the change. Your response to a situation is extremely important in how your future experiences are affected. Sometimes you do not feel powerful enough to make a change that is necessary for the advancement of your soul's journey, so your higher-self conveniently steps in to put change in motion for you. We often blame God for things that happen, thinking we have been abandoned or punished when it is actually our higher-self that is directing the show. God is there to provide compassion, support and strength as we grow through the experience.
It may be a job that is holding you back, prevent from you performing at your highest potential or a relationship that is increasingly providing you with issue experiences and challenges. A change of attitude, perspective or even a greater awareness of the issue that is causing the problem can often alleviate the struggle. If you do not take some action you will unconsciously manifest a closure to the job/relationship opportunity itself in your desire to find happiness and fulfillment. Often the challenge within the situation is presented to you as an opportunity for self awareness of your issues and the opportunity for healing of these issues. But if you do not wake up and take some responsibility for how you are feeling and responding to the situation you find yourself feeling stuck in a situation that is only creating suffering.
Most of you need financial support in your life, and that is probably why you are working at a job. Wouldn't you love to go to work each day, excited about life and what the day will bring. This is possible, but it will usually require a change and there is always hope for that change but you will need to step into your power and take responsibility to achieve it.
The experiences that you are creating and the emotions attached to them are greatly affected by your perception of life. Begin to create a positive change in your life by choosing to view things from a positive perception. It is very possible that you will see a change in the situation and people around you just through your actions.
Love yourself enough to seek and create what brings you joy and fulfillment. Our purpose in this life is to gain a better understanding of Love. Learning how to give it unconditionally and learning how to receive it and knowing our worthiness to embrace love at all levels. To discover the value of FORGIVENESS and practice it in our lives daily is to truly understand the LOVE of GOD.
For a quick update on my health: Many of you may remember that Abraham has had me staying close to home in Austin Texas to take care of my families needs and my health this year. I am pleased to report that I am doing great. My most recent surgery for my diabetes has been very successful. I am feeling great and my glucose numbers are near perfect.
I am going full force with my work. Although I am not doing my usual national appearances and sessions, I am doing both phone sessions and in-person sessions in my Austin office. I am patiently awaiting Abraham's direction as to what 2013 will bring for us. They are currently creating some new classes that we will start presenting in Austin in January and we hope to take them around the country. I am so excited about these and I am ready to get back to teaching again. It may be selfish but I always learn so much from their workshops and get so much joy from seeing everyone else embrace the healing opportunity and awaken to their potential.
Abraham continually reminds me that everything comes in the right time. Patience has been one of the issues that I have been forced to work on. I did not say volunteered to work on or at least I do not remember volunteering. It is a challenge for me as it may be for many of you. Abraham keeps telling me that patience is a virtue and I respond with" Thank you very much, I think I have it, now lets go on with life - right now."

East Coast disaster: This situation has been very heavy on my heart, as my travels and work have blessed me with so many friends in this area. My previous note was written prior to the east coast hurricane that has touched so many of you. I want you to know that I am holding everyone that has been touched by this devastation in my prayers as I hope all of you are. I know how powerful prayers are and if there is someone in particular that you want me to pray for please send me a note.

I am Abraham and we greet you with the love of the universe.
We are please to once again be presenting our messages to you. Thank you for opening your hearts to us.
We continue in answering the questions that our channel Linda and others have presented to us.
What is the purpose of prayer and how does it make a difference in our life?
What is prayer? Prayer is your lifeline of connection to your soul and your true source, God. It is your way of expressing your needs to God and to your spiritual support group of angels and spirit guides. They all know what you need but you often do not or do not have clarity of your needs and desires. This spiritual support group works for you and for God in manifesting experiences in your life. The angels are the fingers of God that are working in your life every moment to provide healing, protection and support.Your spirit guides are the messengers of God's guidance. They help you manifest for your highest good.
Prayer is trusting that you are not alone even when everything around you appears that you are. It builds a trust that you are loved and cared about. Prayer is a demonstration of hope. If you thought God was not listening would you feel strange talking to someone that you could not see or hear? You process your feelings and thoughts when you are praying. God knows what is in your heart but do you? God does not judge you for not coming to him all of the time, as he understands your life is busy, but he is always there to listen and to comfort the fears, heal the pain and provide you with support in facing the challenges you are experiencing.
God has taught us that prayer is one of the most important and powerful tools that he has given humanity and other soul races. It is one of the main tools of creation and manifestation. It is used by all souls as a means of connection and communication to the divine source energy. Many of you may refer to this energy as "God". Although not his/her only name, we will use this term for clarity. You have each found a name for your God, yet it is all the same energetic being.
As you are each created from this energy your soul intuitively seeks this continued connection. WE are all connected to this one true source of all energy. You may be functioning in different forms even on different planets but you are all of one.
Your physical being and spiritual being (soul) need to maintain this connection with God. God provides you with a life force energy that supports all aspects of your physical, mental and emotional existence. To have a connection and form of communication with this source provides the consciousness with comfort and hope as God never abandons his souls. God has full awareness of all that exists for you at every moment. Each of you are a part of God's existence.
God does not need your prayers to have compassion and provide for your needs but it gives him comfort for you to reach out to him and express these needs. As it gives you comfort to know God is there. God appreciates your love just as much as you appreciate his. As physical beings you need someone to reach out to, not just in times of challenge but times of gratitude, as a reminder and focus on life and to help you remember how powerful you are.
The experience of one being energetically affects all of you. You are all a part of the essences of God. When you are hurtful or judgmental to others you are doing this to God and to yourself as you are all ONE.
Challenging events occur all over your planet daily. People are suffering and need your prayers of support.
Do prayers affect situations and people? The answer is yes, they definitely do. In prayer you are opening your heart with concern and compassion whether it is for your own situation or in the case of others. This presents you with the opportunity of creating and functioning in positive thought and emotion. Prayers can be times of gratitude but are often offered up in pleas for assistance or intervention. God understands this and appreciates your needs. God does not create challenging situations to punish you. When you suffer God knows your pain and automatically responds in love, compassion and support for you. God is not there to take the situation away from you but to provide for your needs as you go through the situation.
When someone opens their heart and requests God's assistance for the life of another this creates a positive energy far beyond what you can imagine. That is how powerful your prayers for others are. They support the positive outcome of a situation, they bring healing and strength but you must also learn to pray for yourself. Whether it is for your healing, strength, patience or what ever the need is at the time ask for help. Your existence is not just about you, you are each important in the support of other lives.
Each situation that you experience is an opportunity for greater awareness and growth. Your soul agreed to this experience and all aspects of it. Prayer creates an energy that ripples out and touches all involved. God understands that it is not his place to prevent all challenging events from occurring as some of these events are created for a reason and necessary for human growth but when requested he can provide additional support to those affected.
God tells us that some of you may speak to him in a loud voice of emotional fear and frustration with life but God understands and just holds you tighter as if comforting a hurt child. He does not always understand your choices, but knows that the lessons are important for your soul's journey.
Can prayer change a situation? When a situation is surrounded by the positive energy of prayer, yes it can definitely change the outcome. When praying for your self and others understand that it is necessary to resist your need to control the situation this can be achieved by asking that whatever is in the highest good for that person be created. The higher-self (soul) has created the situation to learn from and at that point everyone involved becomes part of the lesson.
God is present in all lives at all times, often it is only when you reach out that you realize that he is there. It is likened to a small child learning to walk. He wants to stand on his own until he starts to fall and reaches out for help. The child quickly finds comfort in a strong, secure arm of support. When reassured the child regains its balance and proceeds with it's purpose.
We suggest that you open your heart to a time of prayer each day. It comforts you to know that someone listens and cares, it releases you of the burdens of life, lifts you up and connects you to the loving, supporting energy of God.
Give the burdens of life to God in prayer and start taking responsibility for the life you are manifesting. Your spirit guides listen to your intentions through prayer that is how they know what to focus their energy on, yet you must listen as they provide guidance for you. In prayer you talk, in stillness you hear.

Special note: The latest challenge for your country has recently occurred due to the storm on the east coast of the United States. This is the perfect time to practice your prayers. You feel connected with those that are suffering because they are of your country. You can identify with their pain although it did not happen directly to you. Remember you are all ONE. This is the situation with all beings and they can also benefit from your prayers, as can Mother earth as her energy is a major support of your physical existence.
This is a situation for you all to learn from. There will be other earth events occurring, as there always are. Although it is not possible to be prepared for all situations of challenge, take responsibility for your existence in any way that you can, as you will find that your government support will be limited. This is why it is necessary for you all to pull together in physical, emotional, financial and spiritual support of others. Give what you can in the support of those in need. If your situation is such that prayer is all that you can give, know its power.

Who is Abraham:
Every month I have new readers join our newsletter list. I was reminded that not everyone is familiar with the Abraham Group that I work with. I apologize for neglecting to share this important information with you.
Abraham is a group consciousness of high vibrational spiritual beings. That is a long title for a group of beings that work for God. Their purpose is to bring humanity the wisdom and guidance of God for the advancement of our soul's journey. They do not function with ego but much of their work is done though human channels. They have chosen multiple people to work through in delivering their messages. Although Abraham works with many channels, their most well known channel is Esther Hicks. She has been channeling their messages and writing books with them for over 30 years.
Their messages can be both individual or global depending on the situation. Each channel gives the same message yet often in a slightly different way due to our personality. You each receive knowledge differently, and often need to hear it multiple time before applying to to your life. The Abraham group focus on positive intent and empowerment for our lives.
Spirit presented this group to me as my teachers about 11 years ago when my awareness of my spiritual journey began. During this time, they have continually assisted me with my own spiritual development, as well as our work in helping others heal their lives.
